Wood + Vinyl Block
Really quick project idea!
I wanted to spruce up our front porch so I took a remnant of a 2×6 plank from my hubby’s wood pile. After I cleaned the wood, I used Minwax Classic Gray to stain the wood.
While the wood was drying, I used my Silhouette Cameo, to cut out a letter “B” on white vinyl. You can still master this project if you do not have a cutter. Simply find the font you want, print it out and then trace your lettering on to your vinyl and then use scissors to cut.
I keep telling myself to purchase transfer tape and forget every time! My best advice is for you to use transfer tape to adhere your vinyl to the wood. It takes away the stress of getting it on there precisely!
After I place the lettering on, I firmly pressed the vinyl and set it out for display.
Items needed for this project:
- Scissors or cutting machine
Here are some other projects I have done using the same technique.
